Being a busy mama of four often can often lead me to feel like I am spending most of my life in the kitchen keeping everyone in my family fed! So I tremendously appreciate recipes, tips and tricks that shorten the time I have to spend cooking. My husband and I are both big seafood eaters, and all of our littles have seemed to follow suit, which is delightful for me!! One of my favorite (and extremely easy!) recipes to make for us all is broiled tilapia served alongside some brown rice and streamed broccoli or cauliflower. Start to finish, I can roll this meal out in less than 20 minutes! It is also an excellent meal to prep in bulk at the beginning of the week and pre-portion into containers to eat for lunches throughout the week. It reheats nicely and as great flavor!
Tilapia, as long as it’s been responsibly sourced from a reputable US fishery, can be great for you health. It’s incredibly high in protein, but low in fat and calories, unlike other fish, so it’s great for weight loss or management. It also contains a ton of healthy vitamins, minerals and healthy fatty acids and is pretty budget-friendly as well!
